Network marketing training is the foundation of a successful business. Believe it or not, a top producer in this industry making six-figure residual income checks wasn’t born a master of network marketing. They had to start from the bottom and train like everyone else. To illustrate the importance of network marketing training I will use a very popular movie as an analogy. Most of you reading this have seen The Karate Kid. For those of you who haven’t seen the movie, the brief synopsis goes something like this: The movie was about a kid (Daniel) who wanted to learn karate to protect himself, learns from his mentor (Mr. Miyagi) and finally goes to win a tournament where the odds were against him. Again a short summary, but you get the point.
In the film, Daniel asks Mr. Miyagi to train him. That’s important, because just like Daniel, you need a mentor. You need someone to show you the way. Miyagi-san then proceeds to train Daniel through a variety of helpful but slowly evolving training methods. (Painting and waxing cars to practice blocking techniques). Daniel doesn’t understand at first, but through repetition, the block movements became second nature to him. This is where good habits come into play for you as a network marketer. Even with the best training in the world, you have to take action and be consistent. At the end of the film, Daniel enters a tournament and through the skills and training imparted by Miyagi-san, combined with Daniel’s drive for success, he wins the tournament. Network marketing is no different. You need to have a mentor, become a diligent student through training, apply what you learn every day, and achieve great things in this growing industry.
What should be considered when training online?
You’re here because you’re probably looking for an alternative to the offline training your upline is teaching you. The truth is you are not alone. There are thousands of networkers using the internet and technology to grow their business because their upline and call scripts just weren’t enough. The fact remains that the internet can definitely take your business to new heights and you can benefit so much from online leverage, but you need to follow the right people and training. Here’s a list of some requirements to check before you spend your hard-earned cash:
* Experience – You must be assured that the training provided is a direct result of real life experience. You don’t want to follow a scammer who hasn’t achieved anything themselves.
* Credibility – Does the person or people providing this training have significant credibility? What do others say about you?
* Results – Can this training give you results when implemented? What results have others achieved?
* Free Training – Is free training offered? This is a big deal. Online these days you have to be willing to give away valuable content absolutely free. If no free training is offered, run far and run fast.
* Ongoing Training – Does this person or group provide ongoing training? The internet is constantly evolving and it is important that you are aware of these changes as they take place.
The reality of online training
Building a network marketing business online has become a gigantic trend in the last two years. Along with this trend have emerged hundreds if not thousands of people with systems, training and anything else that might teach you how to get rich online. However, the reality is that the vast amount of training available lacks quality. There may be thousands of people offering online training, but only a tiny percentage provide quality training. The most important thing to remember is to always be attentive when looking for new training and above all to look for quality.
training and your responsibility
Once you work with a team that provides quality training, you must do one thing. Take consistent action regularly. The training only pays off if you put it into practice. One of the biggest tips I can give you from my journey in this industry is to never stop learning. You need to be both a student and a mentor to make it in network marketing. The more you learn, the higher your value and the more in demand you become. Everything starts with the training.
