Never underestimate the importance of education when it comes to getting the job of your dreams. Some people know exactly what they want to be when they “grow up” and where, while others take the time to decide what career they want to pursue.
Getting good grades in high school is imperative in order to get a place on the course you want to take at university, but if you don’t, it’s not the end of the world as retakes are available to you stand or gain access to courses that will improve your grades and help you get a place in the university course you want to take.
There is of course another option when it comes to education – on the job training. Here, an employer hires an employee in a lower-ranking position, where they work their way up through courses to eventually assume a higher-ranking position. It takes years to achieve this option, but it also allows you to understand and appreciate the effort that the “lesser” jobs go through so that you can be a better manager, supervisor, or someone of authority and standing.
So as you weigh your options, what should you do? Well, it all depends on what you want the end result to be like. Deciding to plan your future based on the goals and ideals you want to achieve can be very helpful as it allows you to have a detailed look at the timescale it will take you to get your dream job down the different possible paths reach take. It allows you to decide on excursions you want to do. Gap years you might want to pack back and set aside time for financial planning. Education costs more in some areas than others, so it’s important to make sure you have the financial capacity to complete your education if you can’t find a source of funding.
During your education you may find that another interest is beginning to interest you, and if you feel the urge to change your goal since your desire to succeed comes from a different area, then sit down and evaluate your New plans, take a long look at them and change them if this new goal brings you more joy.
The same reasoning applies as nothing in life can be expected at all times, sometimes life just happens and you may need to change your plans for reasons beyond your control. The most common of these are personal reasons.
But never get lost no matter what happens to you in your life because every experience is important and life experience cannot be taught in every classroom. Mistakes happen on the road, but keeping your dreams alive is how you get to your ultimately successful job.
