Guitar Songs For Beginners – Top 3 Easiest Guitar Songs Ever Written Anyone Can Play

Playing the guitar is one of the greatest pleasures life has to offer. But many beginner guitarists get discouraged too easily. The problem is that very often they try to learn guitar pieces that are just too difficult for them. If you are a beginner, you need to learn guitar songs for beginners first. Here are three extremely simple songs to get you started:

1- A horse with no name – America

No doubt you know this song. It’s the easiest song I can think of and my 9 year old son played it on his very first day learning guitar. It’s very simple and only two chords need to be learned; E minor and Dadd6add9 (shown in diagram below). Don’t be put off by the name of the chords, both chords only require two fingers to play. Just in case you don’t know how to read tablature, the first line represents the first string, which is the high E, and the last line represents the low E. The numbers indicate which fret to play.

E minor – Dadd6add9

2- For What It’s Worth – Buffalo Springfield

This song also consists of only two chords. These are E and A major. They’re a bit more difficult as you need three fingers to play them instead of two like the previous song, but they’re still very easy to master. The x in the table below means don’t play that string.

—–2———-2—– (ring finger E, index finger A)

3- Feelin’ Alright – Traffic

The cool thing about this song is that you don’t have to learn any new chords. It consists of the same two chords as in the previous song; E and A major.
