How to build your digital marketing knowledge with online courses, easy steps to follow

I’ve finally found a way to convert my traditional marketing knowledge into digital marketing skills.

You will be surprised when you know how easy and fun it is.

I want to guide you through my personal experience, it won’t take long, don’t worry.

I came from Italy two years ago after I finished my marketing studies.

I wanted to find more job opportunities in England because I think every company here is marketing oriented and you can’t do marketing without knowing English.

I thought that with my degree I could find a job in marketing.

Despite having interviewed many different companies and agencies, I did not find the right position for me.

I realize that the skills that companies want now are different than the skills I learned during my studies as all companies are digitally oriented.

I then decided to find a way to learn how to enter the digital world.

I will share with you how you can switch your knowledge from traditional to digital. All information I give you comes from my personal experience and is therefore already tested.

So let me give you a quick guide on how to transform your traditional marketing education into digital.

When we’re done, you’ll know exactly how to start looking for a real career advancement. Ready? Let us begin.

Step 1

Search Google for a course where you can learn both theoretical and practical knowledge.

A Google search with the right keywords will find many courses e.g. For example, you can search for “digital marketing course plus internship” or “digital marketing course for graduates”.

If you think you’ve found the course that’s right for you, read some reviews to make sure you’re making the right choice. You can call customer service to get an explanation of how the course is structured.

Once you’ve found the course that suits your needs, you can start converting your traditional skills into digital ones.

Based on my Persona experience, I found the Osborne Training digital marketing course to be exactly what I was looking for, a course divided into two sections, the live classroom section and an internship period with a digital marketing agency .

step 2

As you begin the course, you will understand the difference between digital marketing and traditional marketing and explore the basics of digital marketing and the key tools to become a digital marketer.

After my post course registration experience, I started live online classes with a private tutor who took me from marketing basics through search engine marketing, digital marketing tools to promote a business and marketing strategy to build a business.

I have learned to use tools like Google AdWords, Google AdSense, Facebook Ads and to create and send marketing emails.

With the knowledge of these tools, you can now boldly enter the world of digital marketing, the more you practice and the better you understand how to handle the different scenarios you would encounter.

step 3

You’re almost done!

Now that you finally understand how to use the main digital marketing tools, you’re ready to start using them.

But how to start?

Normally, to use these tools, you should have a business, website, or Facebook Page that you want to promote.

The easiest way to get started if you don’t have a business you want to promote is to create a Facebook Page and try to spread awareness about it.

Facebook offers a platform called “Facebook Ads Manager” to promote your own Page, business or website. It’s easy and fun to practice.

Choosing a digital marketing course that offers an internship or work experience allows you to practice the responsibilities and be guided.

Coming back to my personal experience, after the theoretical part, I did the internship program, which consists of a 3-month work experience that consists of doing the task that a digital marketer would do on a daily basis.

Tasks such as managing a blog, developing and managing digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website, devising strategies to drive traffic to the company website, employing techniques such as paid search, SEO and PPC.

After completing all of these tasks, I had the skills to start looking for a digital marketer job!

This is the path I took to transform my traditional marketing knowledge into digital skills.

Are you ready to start converting? Don’t waste any more time, find the course that’s right for you and start learning something useful for your career.
