The pharmacy school interview is an integral part of the application process because the admissions staff, who already know everything about you on paper, can finally see how you fit into their program. This is also your time to interview each pharmacy school, so be prepared to ask any questions you may have about their program.
Most pharmacy schools do a good job of making the interview process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. As a rule, you will greet current pharmacy students and start a conversation with them. Use this opportunity to loosen up and practice your speaking skills. By this point, you should already have your language requirements covered, so now is the time to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom!
Prepare by familiarizing yourself with what you have written in your personal statement essay. Additionally, it’s a good idea to have a general idea of what kind of questions are being asked.
Once you meet your interviewers, take the initiative to build a rapport/start a mini-conversation (crazy traffic this morning, beautiful day, etc.). Smile and share eye contact with all of your interlocutors as much as possible when you’re speaking, and maintain eye contact with the person asking the questions.

Familiarize yourself with healthcare issues and ongoing changes in pharmacy practice, as you may be asked to provide your opinion or specific questions about some of the major events currently taking place.
Other questions may be hypothetical, putting you in a “difficult” or ethical situation where you need to discuss your course of action. There is usually no right or wrong answer, but make sure you pay close attention to the question asked so you don’t miss anything. Before you start speaking, take a moment to think about your answer.
Personally, I bought a book to have the right mindset and strategy to answer even the toughest interview questions. I think that really helped me master my interviews. check mine Pharmacy school interview lens for a link to actual interview feedback and questions from each pharmacy school.
Don’t stress, you’ll be ready for your interviews!!
