The SBMS Scholarship, also known as ePass, is a scholarship that offers Tuition Fee Refund (RTF) for students. This is done in full, but only for those taking matric courses, and these courses must be duly approved by the chosen university or board. It is given twice a year. This grant also offers monthly sanctioned maintenance fees (MTF) or metering fees. Courses are divided into four groups with different rates for affiliated hostels, student managed and hostel day students. Under Group I, which has the highest rate of any group, are engineering, medicine, MBA, MCA, and CPL. Courses such as PG, M Phil, PhD, CA, Polytechnic and GNM fall under group 2. Degree courses fall under group three while group four includes Intermediate, ITI, Vocational and MPHW.
Eligible students for the SBMS Scholarship are those who are in the SC category which includes BC-C, ST, BC and DW with an annual parental income of Rs 1 lakh or less. Students with a quarterly attendance of 75% can also apply. Ineligible are students who do not belong to the listed categories, students enrolled in part-time and online courses, those admitted under sponsored seats and management quota seats, students who use the scholarship more than the scholarship amount in the year relate and BC, EBC, DW students taking the courses offered by other universities, long-distance mode, category B seats in MBBS and BDS, and EBC students studying intermediate courses.

A list of colleges offering SBMS scholarships is provided to the Commissioner of Social Welfare by administrative departments such as the Department of Higher Education, Technical Education, School Education, Health Medical and Family Welfare, Employment and Training.
Interested students are asked to apply online by submitting the SBMS Scholarship Application one month prior to the admission date. The school principal must issue an authentic certificate on the same day that the student submitted the paper copy of their application to their department. A physical inspection is conducted twice a year: within one month after the college reopens and one month before admissions closes. You would have to provide certain information to be admitted with the SBMS scholarship. This includes your academic years, your SSC exam number, the year you passed, the type of SSC passport and your date of birth.
Be aware of the following reasons for SBMS Scholarship Rejection: incorrect financial information, failure to submit proof of income, selection of ineligible course, incorrect academic year, failure to submit required paper documents, no-show, admission under administrative quota, no-show submitting enclosures, canceled or imprisoned students (for renewal purposes), scholarships for courses at the same level, previous sanctions review, and students not recommended by the field worker. Students may submit an uploaded and fully completed application at night when network traffic is lighter for easy submission.
