The MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, the name suggests two different degrees, but is actually a single degree. It is an undergraduate medical degree that deals with surgery and medicine. The MBBS course is currently 5.5 years in duration, comprising 4.5 years of curriculum and 1 year of compulsory training.
