4 Tips To Help You Sell Your Online Course

4 Tips To Help You Sell Your Online Course

Creating and selling online courses can be a great way to generate income from working online, but it can also be quite difficult to make money at first.

But even with a very small budget (or no budget at all!) there are ways to promote your online course and try to get at least a few sales.

1. Promote the online course on your social media

Depending on the nature of your website, you may have social media accounts for your small business. Even if you haven’t set up social media accounts for it yet, you can promote your online course on your own private social media. Don’t forget to make your posts public so friends of friends can see them and others can share them with their friends and a wider audience.

Find and share groups that are closely related to your online course topics.

2. Create content related to your course

People won’t buy your online course unless you’ve managed to explain what it teaches and what benefits they’ll get from it. Without becoming a pushy salesman, create content about your online course that sounds like something people want to buy.

You can also guest post on other websites or create a few blog posts and mention your new online course at the end.

3. Give customers a discount

Everyone loves the feeling of having found a bargain. So if you drop the price by 50% for a few days, people feel more pressured to make a quick decision and pay for it before the price goes up.

Be careful not to run discounts and promotions too often as this will make people avoid buying it at full price and just want it until the next promotion comes along. Another great way to generate interest is to offer a free module so people have a chance to try before they buy.

4. Pay for advertising when you can

While budgets are usually very small to start with, don’t be too keen on spending some money on advertising. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. While it may seem desperate at the moment, it will help you engage your audience and attract people who are genuinely interested in your online course.
